The FCC guidelines are among the weakest in the work, and are not protective of prolonged exposure to non-thermal microwave radiation, like that from cell transmitters. Thousands of studies show severe health effects by those within 500 meters of cell transmitters, especially children. A recent court decision, Sprint Wireless vs. San Diego confirmed the right for a municipality to avoid siting near homes, schools and hospitals if other suitable sites are available. There are always other sites available -- please thingk o fhte consequences to our precious young ones.

Cell towers have no business being built near an elementary school. Children are more susceptible to EMF's than adults. The City needs to take a precautionary approach and err on the side of over-protecting rather than under-protecting our children.

We need more studies funded by the NIH about the effects on health of cell phone towers and wireless technology. Industry studies will always minimize risks. We need unbiased researchers raising their voices about the technology that is blanketing the globe. In the meantime, do we allow our children to take part in an experiment, the effects of which are not documented in the mainstream research community because people currently doing the research have little funding and cannot get published?

Cell towers, due to micerowave radiation should not be allowed near public facilities, ie schools. Who is behind the decision to even talk about installing a tower.

I was born and raised on W. Alameda. Dangerous or potentially dangerous equipment has no place near our children.

I have had it with these irresponsible corporate bullies. If this tower is installed, I will not buy food or gas at Burger King/Texaco or use AT&T.

Just like the nuclear industry, the WIFI cell phone industry has proceeded full speed ahead to sell their "product" without standards or regulations. These blighted areas like the Burger King/Gas station are becoming more blighted by adding towers and signs. We do not need more cell towers. These industries don't provide services, they provide clutter and noise and danger on the roads. People chattering about nothing is an addiction, texting for what? And ruining our environment for their techno-drug is the same as a junkie throwing their needles all over the ground where they imbibe. This is worthless blight and endangerment and we do not want it. Read the science on these towers, they are deadly and cause brain tumors!
