Why this petition matters
Im calling on YOU, to help me send the STERN MESSAGE to any operating fast food chain in the time of the Covid-19 outbreak: FEED OUR TRUCKERS!
We have over 3 million truckers in this nation.
Numerous truckers who are traveling LONG distances from home at this uncertain time of Covid-19 are unable to stop and get a HOT MEAL!
Offer them curbside service! Or send an employee accompanied by a manager - 6 ft apart - to step outside and take their order. WHATEVER IT TAKES TO FEED OUR MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE KEEPING THIS COUNTRY GOING DURING THIS TIME!!!
They keep medical supplies in hospitals right now, our precious toilet paper in stores, food on our tables. You name it-if you have it-THANK A TRUCKER!
Frankly, its unacceptable that they're letting this happen! Especially with all the technology we have today! With all these "apps" they offer etc, theres absolutely NO EXCUSE for stories like these below:
Despite Mcdonalds saying they've implemented a curbside service for these situations - we are STILL getting reports all over the country of this happening.
I'M CALLING ON THE FAST FOOD INDUSTRY-THEY NEED TO SEE THAT: EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE OPERATING A DRIVE THRU WINDOW NEEDS TO BE TRAINED ON HOW TO HANDLE THIS SITUATION - OR WE, YOUR PATRONS WHO KEEP YOU IN BUSINESS-WILL RESPOND ACCORDINGLY!
