Burbank Schools are about to make a HUGE mistake--- We need your help!

Burbank High School, like most schools in Burbank, CA and Los Angeles, has implemented social distancing measures in order to educate their students while maintaining safety in light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic. It hit mid-semester, and none of us saw it coming. Luckily, our school utilized Google Classroom and Zoom in order to continue the school year. It was a system that worked, and most of us were able to adapt to it.

However, the next semester starts August 17, and Burbank High School has decided to change this system to be far more restrictive. An inflexible schedule, mandatory Zoom meetings, and class times that do not take into account the changes in sleeping schedules and free time Burbank students inevitably experienced during the Corona virus

We don't have an option to opt out of this system planned by BUSD. Any student who preformed better academically beforehand will be forced to change aspects of their life in order to pass. Students who do not have the free time they did before will be left behind because of this.

The students of Burbank High School demand BUSD to have a choice in the way they are educated. Some students will preform better in this new system, some will not. We have no say in this. The pandemic is already hard enough on us. Please sign this petition so we can academically thrive!
