Build an Artificial Reef at Back Beach, Bunbury

Have you seen the waves at back beach in Summer?! There are hardly any waves throughout the summer months and this is something we need to solve. Bunbury is full of keen surfers who would love to go surfing in the summer, but there are no waves anywhere in Bunbury so they have to go driving hours to find somewhere else.
Artificial reefs can be made from a range of different materials, from old cars and toasters to massive sandbags. If positioned the right way, they can create perfect waves all year round.
Swimmers and families would still be able to enjoy back beach safely as the reef can be positioned a bit offshore, meaning that the waves would be almost non-existent when reaching the shore. The reef can be made out of materials that will not attract a large amount of marine life, meaning that the beach would still be very safe from larger fish, such a sharks.
If Bunbury got an artificial surfing reef, it would improve the tourism and make Bunbury a place that is more attractive to people as a holiday place, rather than somewhere to just stop by.
