Peanut/Nut Allergy Awareness for Bulk Barn

Two things to know about me. I love Smarties and I'm allergic to nuts/peanuts.
Having peanut/nut allergies is not a new concept in 2017, in fact it very common. In a 2015 study in the Journal of Allergy and Immunology 0.93% of Canadians have a peanut allergy and 1.14% have a tree nut allergy.
The Bulk Barn is not an allergy free shopping spot and there is no way for them to separate every food allergy out from the pack. That is not a reasonable request. But the management could take the small step of taking the Smarties (a nut free chocolate coated treat for children and adults) bin out from the surrounding M&M (not a safe choice for allergy sufferers) bins where cross contamination can easily occur.
It would only take one peanut M&M to drop into the Smarties bin to kill someone. They do look quite a bit alike. Why not prevent this by moving the Smarties bin next to other candy that is more easily distinguished. It's not much to ask.
Please sign this petition so that a 10 minute switch could save someone's life. I miss my Smarties.
