Sherry Tan started this petition to Bukit Sembawang Pte Ltd and

The green and sustainability features of Phase 8/9 of the Luxus Hill Project was heavily advertised by Bukit Sembawang in the marketing phase, including solar power, rainwater harvesting system (RWH) and others. Many residents were attracted to these green features and are naturally keen to continue using these features.

However, after the first year, Netatech Engineering (which had provided the RWH) quoted a fee of $600 per quarter (which entails one maintenance visit), and this excludes parts, which have a separate cost schedule. When some residents engaged them on alternatives in view of the high cost, they suggested decommissioning the system - this would involve reconnecting the tap points to PUB water supply and capping off the water inlet of the tank with silicon. Furthermore, Netatech Engineering required the system to be returned to them upon dismantling.

Residents are now caught between three equally poor options: a) paying for an exorbitant maintenance package, (b) footing the bill to dismantle the system merely one year in, and (c) not signing up for maintenance but facing the risk of system issues very soon.

Considering that this system came as a standard package for all Phase 8/9 units and is an installed system selected by Bukit Sembawang, the Luxus Hill Drive residents are petitioning for Bukit Sembawang help to negotiate a more reasonable maintenance fee for this system with Netatech or an alternate contractor.
