A field of poppies in Bramford Suffolk is about to be lost to a 112 house building site. Planners said they had “no choice” as mandated to follow Government instruction. 

A mile away is a brownfield site where development was permitted 9 years ago. However, due to demolition/ clearance/ preparation activities needed pre build not as financially lucrative. 

Government  should start considering the environment and put in safeguards so that green field/natural habitats are not destroyed when brown field sites are readily available for development. Would still enable house building, jobs,etc. at a profit but not a super profit.
