Build Cycle only Zone for Bengaluru IT corridor

I am a citizen of bangalore and staying here since my birth and currently working in a reputed IT company in Whitefield. I commute everyday from Koramangala to office which is about 20 kms and takes about 2 hours each side. There has been numerous efforts to reduce the traffic woes that bangalore has and I know the government is also trying their best to help the citizens.
There are few solutions that can ease this problem! If you can implement this, then this will be the biggest change that Bengaluru will witness!
1. Use the available railway stations around bangalore and start local trains. (This solution has already been suggested by experts)
2. We know that a metro line will come up in the IT corridor, when the work begins, mark my words.. the traffic will become a nightmare. So let's keep this solution for the future. Like say 7 years from now for Metro to be useful.
1. You cannot widen the roads. Even if so, it wouldn't help much
2. You can't force people to use public transport all the time. Practically it won't work.
The existing IT corridor (Whitefield, hebbal, E-city) all have service ROADS running along them. Why can't we just convert them to cycling zones with a shelter above. It will be like an all weather zone.
Why will it work?
Have you noticed the consciousness on health bangaloreans have got? They pay for hi-tech gyms, watch their calories while eating and do everything to loose weight. 8 out of 10 people from the IT sector are overweight and they make a conscious effort to reduce it. All of them have a weight loss as their goal on the calendar.
What it needs?
Tar up the service ROADS and build a roof above it and make it a cycling zone.
Just this one task that and see how the traffic problems will be vanished in a flash.
In addition, there are also electric cycles that people can use. There are quite a few cycle manufacturers who will help you fund this and advertise. Corporates will fund the project as part of the CSR initiatives.
