Motocross riding is a great way for kids and adults to release daily stress, exercise, enjoy nature and bring out our competitive side. Interest in the sport has increased dramatically over the years and Boone County Kentucky does not have a single admission free motocross park. The county has invested primarily in parks that support just about all walks of life and sports besides motorcross athletes. These tax funded parks provide much needed public green space for athletes, outdoor enthusiasts and horse owners but does not include the motocross athletes of the county. I propose the county to build a motocross park around the waste water reclamation treatment plant located in Petersburg Kentucky or other suitable vacant property in the area. Once the park is built, it can be maintained by volunteers of the sport. Fundraising events will fund the park with minimal county assistance.
