Build a UMass Indoor Navigation App

Build a UMass Indoor Navigation App
Most buildings on the UMass campus are large and complex. Many are old and difficult to navigate. Floor plans at building entrances are no help because they are not portable. There is no effective system in place for navigating within campus buildings. This takes valuable time away from the routines of students that are already overwhelmed with their workload. Students don't have time to be wandering around looking for their classes, and this also adds stress, increases anxiety, and reduces time management. Neurodiverse students are especially susceptible to these negative impacts, and experience them to a greater degree than neurotypical students. Without a system for indoor navigation, UMass is inaccessible for Neurodiverse students. Help us call for equal access by petitioning UMass to fund the development of an indoor navigation app.
