The amount of community members surrounding York Hill District Park that own a dog has significantly increased over the past two years. Many of the owners attend York Hill Park daily with their dogs in hopes of having their dogs play with one another. Instead they have been met with backlash and warnings of penalty from the city of Vaughan. 

The community needs an enclosed recreational area where the dogs can play off leash. This will provide respite both for community members that are uncomfortable with the dogs being off leash and for the dog owners who are looking to have their dogs socialize and be healthy.
