Start giving breaks to employees who work shifts of 8 hours or more
I am the mom of an employee at Buffalo Wild Wings, a restaurant chain with locations across the country. It has come to my attention that Buffalo Wild Wings works their employees without a lunch or even a break. My kid worked an 11 hour shift without a break. Another employee worked a 15 hour shift without the relief of a break. One employee who works in the kitchen almost passed out from exhaustion and because of the high temperatures in the kitchen.
Most of these employees make minimum wage and some of them even have to walk to and from work. Can you imagine walking a mile or more to work, working an 11 hour shift without a break, and then walking home? It is inhumane to make employees work like this.
It is time for Buffalo Wild Wings to step up and treat its employees fairly. They should give all employees a lunch break or at least two 10-minute breaks to their employees who work an 8 hour shift or more. Will you join me in calling on Buffalo Wild Wings to treat employees fairly and provide them with breaks?
