John Nowak started this petition to Buffalo Common Council and

Recently there have been installed 15 mph speed limit signs in front of all buffalo schools.

Additionally are installed radar cameras to ticket drivers who do not drive the very slow 15 mph.

In other school districts across the country, their school speed limits are more reasonable between 20 to 25 mph.

The 15 mph school speed limit is extremely slow, it feels like one is crawling, and the use of radar cameras to take pictures of speeding cars are speed traps that will gouge money from thousands of citizens.

  1. We demand practical school speed limits of 20 mph.
  2. We demand the ending of all tickets by radar cameras forever.
  3. We demand a sign that flashes when the speed limit is active on main roads, to properly notify drivers.
  4. We demand installed radar along the side of the road that only shows the speed of the approaching cars and to flash when the car is moving above the speed limit, this to notify and inform drivers of their speed and encourage drivers to slow there speed down, but are not to be allowed to take pictures of cars and be used to ticket drivers.
  5. We demand periodically only police officers in marked police cars with their own radar guns to be allowed to ticket drivers as a justified deterrent, not radar cameras that take pictures of cars so as not to gouge money from thousands of citizens.
