I deserve respect as a human and tenant

My name is Hakan Aktar,

Mr. Peter Manka Sr. was my landlord in Buffalo, NY. I enjoyed his apartment during my stay. I try my best to keep the apartment nice. I sent my rents in advance months. Even when I first moved into his apartment I neglected to take over electric and gas for couple days. I sent him extra $50 or $20 (it has been a year. I don’t remember the amount.) with my rent for electric and gas.

In November 2017 I decided to move out and I gave him notice more than a month before. I moved out on December 30th. I cannot move my treadmill and washer due to lack of space in the truck. They stayed in the basement. I saw his property manager Donald on 31st.  We had a friendly conversation.    He told me I have to take my stuff by 7 because new tenant will move on 8th. I said OK. I texted back and forth with Donald during that week. Even he told me he has a friend who can help me to move that stuff. Actually, his friend did it . Donald texted me On January 6th. He said “Yes... You gave notice that you were going be out by the 28th of December. You will be charged a per diem for every day in January that your possessions remain on the property.” I was so upset about that because he never mentioned it to me until last day.

Yesterday I called Mr. Manka Sr. to explain the situation. I always found him a polite and nice person. Unfortunately, He was so rude to me. He said he will charge $30 per day total $240. (Total value of properties in the basement are $500 actually)  He also said call the lawyer then hung up on me. Mr. Manka and is a well-known businessman in Williamsville. I am so disappointed with his aggression. I just want to raise my voice. As a human and tenant, I deserve respect like everybody. I want all tenants and people to help me to make him apologize from me. Thanks.
