We have been experiencing a disparity in translation of how portable basketball hoops are allowed in buffalo creek HOA. The board has been interpreting more than what our guidelines (regulations) describe. The verbiage of regulation in the HOA reads, "hoops to be visible, but they cannot be left such that they hinder the sidewalk or any other common area". We agree with this verbiage, but the board interprets this with the addition of forcing owners to move hoops back and forth between uses, creating damage to hoops over time, and potential injury to owners in frequency of moving, in addition to overall frustration at current interpretation.

This petition is to clarify this regulation, as to allow portable  basketball hoops to be left out, regardless of proximity to the sidewalk, as long as it remains on our individual properties, and remains in good condition.

In essence, this petition is to suggest the buffalo creek HOA mirrors what the town of Wellington code enforcement dictates. No more, no less.
