Locals have been struggling for years to figure out ways to get our boats in the James River. For years we’ve said this is ridiculous… Albemarle.. Nelson ..Cumberland etc. they all have proper access to the river. Buckingham has two legitimate boat ramps, Bremo Bluff and James River State Park ..that’s a stretch of 47 miles driving distance. Many of us need access in between. Warren, Hatton ..why not have actual boat ramps!?! Often we’re unable to launch whether it be because of mud or water levels too low as both areas have drop offs.  ..let’s show Buckingham County and the DGIF that we are serious!
