Within the last two weeks BSM has failed to provide support for the Black Lives Matter movement following the murder of George Floyd. This is not a new issue for students of color within the school, students describe being taken out of class to take photos of POC students for publicity and to give the image that BSM is more diverse than it actually is.

Benilde has also failed to properly support other minority students at the school such as LGBTQ+ students, women and low income students. Students have experienced homophobia, racism, and sexism for too long. The BSM student body demands BSM be accountable for their actions and to address why they are choosing to ignore minority students needs.
