We have Loved one incarcerated within the South Carolina Department of Corrections. With them opening visits back up We either have to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative test 3 days prior to visit and our Loved ones have to be vaccinated in order to see our Loved ones. I am starting this Petition because the Correctional Officers are not Vaccinated and they are the ones who spend the most time with our Loved Ones coming in and out of the facility. How do you think COVID got into the prisons to begin with the Staff. If we have to be vaccinated and show proof to see our family they should have to be vaccinated and show us as Loved Ones they are vaccinated also. When I questioned this with Headquarters I was told they could not release medical information on employees, but we are required to show proof we are.
