Hello, I'm creating this petition to have Orlando Jones re-hired as "Mr. Nancy" on Starz' TV show "American Gods".

On December 14, 2019, Orlando Jones announced that he was fired from the show, there has been an out cry from the viewers who not only enjoy the show but mostly enjoy Jone's performance. He was fired by the new Connecticut-born Yale-graduate  lead Producer (for season 3) who was advised to get rid of Mr. Nancy because he was "Too Angry".

Most of the viewers enjoyed his performance on the show due to how he talked about social issues that surround black people in America during past, and present. Dialogue that perfectly explained the issues regarding the black community, but as well as giving those outside of the community more depth and insight into the "Angry Black Man" narrative.

Jones's character, "Mr. Nancy" is in fact an embodiment of what Black people who live in America go through on a day to day basis. Due to the popularity of the show, it brought these issues and an opportunity for black people to mainstream media.

To get rid of Orlando Jones who plays Mr. Nancy is considered not only taking away the voice of Black Americans, it is also racist. We want him back.

Update: After some thinking and consideration from fellow viewers. I do want to add that the collective of viewers would want to see the leading producer who fired Orlando Jones to be fired and for Orlando Jones to be rehire to avoid any hostile action.
