University students should not have to pay the 4th instalment or rent if they move out
Why this petition matters
In these unprecedented times caused by COVID-19, university students stranded in London are alone and in distress. Students who got stuck here in London are now able to move out and go back to their countries through rescue flights. Also, the universities are conducting online classes and no infrastructure or university facilities are being used as face to face meetings are halted.
Right now it’s also safer and in the best interest for students to go back home. However, students are still expected to pay rent for accommodation that they are not living in.
If a student decides to leave before the 4th installment (which is due on May 29 2020), due to the uncertainty or visa expiring they should not have to pay the 4th term installment. More so because alot of us have lost our jobs and are unable to secure a job and neither are our parents are being able to pay as they have lost their jobs too.
