While on one hand city civic administrations across the globe undertake scientific studies on streamlining traffic woes, Bengaluru authorities on the other hand continue to be obsessed by speed-breakers. Are speed-breakers the real solution to avoiding accidents and speedsters? If so, how do other cities in India manage with almost zilch speed-breakers? 

Not only do they unnecessarily hamper smooth flow of traffic, they are unscientifically designed and with no markings what-so-ever, resulting in hundreds of deaths especially in case of two-wheeler riders. Additionally, illegal and unscientific construction causes unwarranted wear-and-tear and damage to vehicles.

It is high time, action is initiated by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike to do away all these "Killer" speed-breakers, flatten illegal ones and ensure quality patch-work
