I was a former swimmer, and I believe we should hold our leaders accountable for this lack of action.

As someone who has worked first hand with the victims of these horrific acts, I believe it is imperative that Chuck Wielgus and the entire USA Swimming organization be held accountable for their inaction in protecting the victims from abuse. To honor this man, who's inaction lead to countless cases of abuse while he was at the head of this organization, is unthinkable and unacceptable. Further, his perpetual denial of the problem existing, his refusal to accept the blame, and his complete lack of remorse for the victims is certainly not befitting of a nomination for, let alone induction into, the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
