Morris Township Residents for 100% Renewable Energy by 2035

As residents of Morris Township, we want clean, safe, affordable energy for our community. We are concerned about people in our nation and across the world who are feeling the effects of climate change in the form of severe droughts, extreme weather, lengthening fire seasons, and public health concerns like heat stroke and the spread of vector-born diseases into new areas. We are concerned about national security issues that will inevitably develop unless we address climate change.
Sign this petition to urge Morris Township to transition to 100% renewable energy by 2035.
Some of us are people of faith who believe that we have a moral responsibility to act on climate change to protect God's creations and the most vulnerable among us. Some of us are parents or grandparents who are concerned for our children's future.
Others of us just want the best price on energy, and we know that renewables are more affordable than traditional fossil fuel energy. For a variety of reasons, we urge the Morris Township Committee to pass a resolution to transition to 100% renewable energy by 2035.
