Give Cory Monteith a Posthumous Emmy

On July 13, 2013, the world lost a star, the television industry lost a legend, and the cast of Glee lost a member of their family.

Recently out of rehab, Cory Monteith had the support of his family, his castmates, and his fans. He was ready to get back to work on Glee’s fifth season, and the shining star had a lot to look forward to. However, all of that came to a shattering halt when the 31 year old was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on Saturday afternoon.

This tragic loss has shaken Hollywood to its core. Numerous celebrities and fans from around the world have dominated social media sites remembering the great friend, idol, and colleague that Cory was, and how he will always have a special place in everyone’s hearts.

The goal of any actor is to be recognized and remembered for their efforts. Cory poured his heart and soul into the beloved role of Finn Hudson on the hit television series Glee. Please acknowledge Cory’s outstanding talent as an actor by giving him a posthumous Emmy award. Don’t let a lifetime of hard work for the television industry end in vain.
