Raise the budget for Chicago Public Schools

According to 2014-2015 data, 86.02% of Chicago Public Schools were low-income.
“Four out of every ten kids who start freshman year at a public high school in chicago do not graduate (illinois policy.org)”.
“CPS has the shortest school days and years in the nation (illinoispolicy.org)”.
Even though the schools are in the process of getting more money for their budget, it needs to be higher! Kids are the future and they need a good education in order to succeed. These kids need longer school years in order to continue developing and growing as a student. I chose the topic of education in poverty for a school advocacy project. I have read a book about teaching in poverty, and I know how important it is for there to be enough school days in order to teach curriculum. I believe that with the right education, a kid can go anywhere. So, help me by signing my petition to grab Chicago`s government's attention and to create awareness for Chicago Public School System.
