Anthony Butler, Father of Mariah who passed away on April 11, 2014 and whose remains were mishandled by Will County Sheriff's Officer R. Ricobene on March 11, 2018, will be holding a vigil in her honor and remembrance on Sunday, March 18, 2018.
Mariah was born March 31, 2014 and sadly passed away April 11, 2014 from HLHS, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, a congenital heart defect. Her remains, which were in a pendant urn on a necklace Butler wore every day, were the only thing that he had to remember her by.
On the night of March 11, 2018 during a traffic stop initiated by R. Ricobene, badge #2217, of the Will County Sheriff's Office, her remains were mishandled by Ricobene after he spilled the vile in the center counsel of Butler's Chevy Blazer.
We are asking that Disciplinary Action be taken against this Will County Sheriff's Officer for the neglect and mishandling of human remains.
