Beeston's Town Hall is one of the very few important buildings left that have escaped councillors desecrating yet another historic gem.

It's the finest building in central Beeston, very complete and symbolic of Beeston's history and stature

Broxtowe Borough Council's consultation on the issue was clearly biased in favour of demolition, instead of letting the people decide freely on what is the happen to this local landmark.

I am signing because I am opposed to historical buildings being neglected and demolished because of the councils need to line thier own pockets. Nottingham city council have destroyed lots of beautuful architecture in Nottingham. It's time to find a more positive use of these buildings whilst keeping the facade and internals intact.

As a resident of a small Borough myself, I am signing in support of retaining architecture that maintains a municipalitie’s character which could never be replaced. Historic architecture not only benefits residents but can be part of an overall economic development plan to promote the town as a destination for visitors. Don’t replace, but embrace .... old is beautiful and must not be forsaked.

Little of the new build in Beeston town centre, or elsewhere in Broxtowe, is of any character or quality. We should save those buildings that do bestow some pride and personality - especially a public asset like this one.

It is fantastic building and resource. The council are being arrogant and should be held to account.
