Casey Segraves started this petition to Brownstown Township Planning Commission & Trustee Board

Centennial Farms is a property with entrance located at 23855 Arsenal Road. It is placed very near the communities of Bridgewater, Timber Creek subdivision, and residents living on Arsenal Road. The current owners have approached the Brownstown Township Building Planning Committee requesting to utilize the property for events, mainly weddings.

The property owners wish to host 15 to 27 wedding events per year (every weekend between May-October) with a maximum of 250 guests per event. Event times would begin at 3pm and conclude at 11pm. These events would be held in an outdoor hut structure, similar to a dual open-ended bandshell, that they wish to construct on the property. Outside vendors will be hired to provide catering and beverage service, including alcohol, with future plans for the site to obtain their own liquor license providing in-house bar services.

These wedding events will lead to negative consequences for local residents, included, but not limited to the following:

  • Loud noise and music, heard from great distances, into the night.
  • Increased traffic with many vehicles parking on Arsenal Road and adjacent neighborhoods.
  • Increased litter, picked up by winds, flooding the local area.
  • Intoxicated guests leaving/driving from the facility.
  • Potential vandalism & loitering at nearby Wegeinka Elementary school.

Please sign this petition if you wish for Brownstown Township to deny allowing Centennial Farms to host wedding events in your neighborhood.
