A Petition to make Pioneer Middle School safe again!

In light of the recent shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas, we, the students of Pioneer Middle School, deem our school's design unconventional to the modern day. The main issue with the design of our school is that once you get into one classroom, you have access to a plethora of other doors that can be easily opened due to them being unlockable. These doors are also made of plastic. In the unlikely, but possible event of a mass shooter getting into our school, these doors can lead to two unwanted circumstances: the students who panic run out of them and have more of a chance of running into the shooter, or the shooter accesses one classroom, and we are rendered helpless. We ask the members of the board of Broward County Public Schools, as well as the faculty and staff, to change this. Thank you for your time, and I hope for your support.
