What is wrong with this college. My goodness…. I got a warning because I said how a professor made ME feel. How do I get a warning for that.

I was a career teacher at the elementary level. Then, I taught at the University level supervising student teachers. I have a great nephew in his last year of high school in Broward County. It is unthinkable to not have certified faculty counselors to help students in their transition into higher education. Many begin college at the local level to save money and sort out their long range interests before entering another university. These students need experienced guidance to assist them in pursuing their evolving long range educational plans. Please solve this problem.

This is not right. And I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that the positions were all union.

We need to be investing more, not less, in counseling and student support services.

This is NOT the time to be laying off people who provide essential services to our students!

You must stop short cutting the services you provide and the people who provide them. if you need to make cut, try administrative salaries which have risen disproportionately to everything else!
