I'm sure many people are aware of the littering crisis that is prevalent in NYC. Things have gotten worse, especially in the Bronx. Everyday, 14 million tons of trash are littered on the streets of NYC.  Landfill litter takes years to decompose and many are washed away. In addition, litter can severely injure the wildlife. Many animals are caught in litter and end up suffocating. Others can get cut deeply and end up with severe wounds. By taking the first small step, we can all have a brighter future.
