Terry Want started this petition to Broadland council

Pubs have played an important role in local communities for hundreds of years. Providing an informal setting in which people can meet and socialise, our local boozers foster friendships, ward off loneliness and are often the beating heart of the area.  This sums up The Red Lion perfectly,  it is an invaluable asset to the cultural fabric of our Village. It has played host to countless well-established acts, as well as giving young local musicians a fantastic platform to hone their skills and take their first steps into the creative industries.

It is very sad that a very small number of people have complained about the recent  live music events  at the Red Lion in Coltishall and as such the Sunday Sessions and the pub itself are at risk.  We need your support to show Broadland council that the people who have complained are a minority and the majority of the village support Sarah and her mission to keep The Red Lion open and to provide a live music event every Sunday.  I personally live very close to the pub and like many of my close neighbours fully support these events continuing. I have lived here for more than 20 years and the pub has been here since 1740

The loss of this historic venue would be an outrage and a huge loss anytime but at this particular time in history it is unthinkable

Please sign this petition and share. We cannot let the Bully’s win

as Bill and Ted would say "Be excellent to each other"
