We are taxpayers in the Broaddus Independent School District (“BISD”), and we petition the BISD school board as follows:

 
1.   We believe under the current pandemic situation that any bond election be postponed until November as recommended by Governor Abbott.
 
2.   We do not support a bond issue for $11 million.

3.   We call on BISD to issue bonds only for the minimum amount necessary to build a new elementary school building, as supported by a detailed construction budget, and which should not exceed $6.6 million.
 
4.   We request that BISD not issue any bonds until after it has paid off the $2.5 million debt for the high school construction that was showing outstanding on the 2019 BISD Year End Financial Statements.
