Hey- is your  healthy pet getting under your feet? are they annoying you? costing you money? did you know you can take it to your vets and they will put it down immediately without any attempts to re-home or advise you.

We are wanting the BVA to regulate their vet's and assist pets in crises, a pet taken to the veterinary surgery to be destroyed, that is not suffering should be given a grace period of 3-5 days where the vet keeps the pat safe and attempts to re-home the animal before destroying it, contacting the owner before a final decision is made.

An elderly lady takes her dog to the vet's to be destroyed as she feels she can no longer care for her and fears she may have to go and stay in hospital, the vet obliges and destroys her. The lady feels much better after a brief illness and regrets her hasty decision.
