Keep Joydens Riding Club of Bexley affiliated to the British Riding Club Movement

On Wednesday 30th March 2016 British Riding Clubs suspended our 60 year old Joydens Riding Club (Bexley, Kent) This action has effected 54 members of who now have to relocate to others clubs. Many of the members are children from underprivileged areas of South East London who are fully integrated into the pony club whatever their circumstances allowing them to train and compete at local & regional events that would normally be out of their reach. The riding club membership is for non-horse owners who hire or borrow ponies and for rider owners alike. Boys and Girls compete alongside each other equally and the youngest member is 4 years old right up to our secretary who celebrates her Diamond Birthday alongside the Joydens Riding Club 60 years young this year 2016. This petition is to lobby British Riding Clubs to reinstate our affiliation for the members to be able to continue to compete and gain achievement certification in learning about horse and pony care and attend prestigious events and team competitions. We are not elite and we cater for all riders and non riders. If we are able to gain enough signatures we will be able to show that our club has the support from all riders from all areas of the community, and we hope that our past members will also show their support.
It is a travesty that this very prestigious club has been suspended as it is one of the Founder members of the British Riding Club movement. In 2015 a new regime was adopted by British Riding Clubs and a new senior management team took the place of volunteer trustees.
