Britannia Hotels Must Go Cage-Free Now!
0 have signed. Let’s get to 75,000.
Hi, my name is Jenny and I am petitioning Britannia Hotels to stop sourcing cage eggs for its 52 hotels across the country.
Hens kept in cages for egg production endure lives that are not worth living. The space they live in is less than the size of an A4 sheet of paper. They don’t get to experience any natural sunlight, can't carry out any of their natural behaviours and suffer both physically and psychologically.
I’m an avid animal lover, and hate to see any animal in pain, which is why I’m running this petition. I enjoy spending my time helping charities fight for animals, and petitioning has made other companies improve their animal welfare standards. So if you believe that hens should not endure a life of pain and suffering it would be amazing if you would sign this; it would mean so much to me, and you may help countless numbers of hens who deserve a better life.
Fortunately, the world is changing and more and more companies, brands and big hotels such as Travelodge, Premier Inn and Hilton, are ditching cage eggs from their supply chains on the grounds of animal cruelty. Steps like this are really important stages towards making our world a better place for animals. But Britannia Hotels have failed to make these basic improvements.
We can make choices in our own lives to reduce or stop animal suffering but it’s also up to us, as consumers, to stand up to companies with bad practices.
Please sign my petition and let Britannia know that you do not support this kind of extreme animal cruelty.

As I’m sure you’re aware, a large number of hotels in the UK are making commitments to move away from supporting intensive confinement practices in their egg supply chain. Travelodge, Premier Inn and Hilton - to name a few - are all doing the right thing.
My family and I will be boycotting Britannia and instead, will stay with your competitors who take animal welfare more seriously. It is time to release a firm commitment and timeline to completely eliminate the use of cages in Britannia's entire supply chain. It is the right thing to do.
