Arnos Court Skatepark Project started this petition to Bristol City Council

We want to create a top-quality concrete skatepark in Arnos Court Park, Brislington in order to provide a safe, family orientated and all-inclusive free-to-use sports facility for our community.

A well-built skatepark that reflects the needs of local skaters and scooters is a hive of creative, physical activity, a place where kids who enjoy skateboarding and scooting come together and are focused on their sport in an inherently positive environment.

Skateparks are proven to increase health, well-being, community cohesion whilst reducing social exclusion and anti-social behaviour. The skatepark will not only benefit skatepark users, it will be an asset to the whole community.

Arnos Court Park currently has a playground which caters for kids up to the age of 8 but lacks provision for ages beyond 8. The nearest skateparks are in Hengrove and St Georges and can’t be reached by a direct public transport link. In Brislington, as a whole, there are very few free facilities for 8-16 year olds. Local parents are concerned about the lack of outdoors activity available. There are many new families in the immediate location and many more to come from planned developments.

Please add your name to this petition so that we can demonstrate to Bristol City Council that we have tonnes of local support for a new skatepark in Arnos Court Park. Thank you!
