The Carlsbad Police Department is in the wrong. I had to file a police report against my sons father who’s 22, texting a minor inappropriately. When I was talking to the detective about the proof I had he told me “well when you say little girl i’m thinking 4 or 5, not 15 she’s not that little.” Then I had to call again about my evidence and was told the detective went on vacation for a week. So a child predator wasn’t looked into and the case went nowhere.In which this man had gotten a hold of another phone and was living like nothing happened. I then contacted him that morning coming back from his vacation and he was extremely rude and not understanding. There was a separate dispute going on that day and they mad me feel crazy like I was trying to get back at his dad for what he did. This man was engaging with a minor in a very inappropriate manner and that was the main problem. It’s not about how I feel it’s about how he’s taken advantage of multiple woman in this manner. This whole situation got my blood boiling because what? He made it seem like this whole thing was okay and that it was going nowhere. Sir if I had not reported the inappropriate texting do you think the texting would’ve gone nowhere? He was already trying to meet up with this child and it wasn’t about doing good things.That he’s been doing this for years with other girls who have reached out to me and we’re just supposed to watch him do this over and over again? Someone I spent so much time with and grew an attachment to. It was all one big lie I’m not bitter,  this situation was real and him grooming other girls is real. For him to keep going younger as he gets older this is a problem. It’s disgusting that men defend other men, while being a police officer. It made me sick and so you’re telling me in few years when he’s 25+ and still trying to get with 15 year olds this is okay?? This man is a predator i don’t care, if he gets away with this what makes them think this is gonna stop and not continue happening. Me as a parent now I couldn’t imagine and my blood would boil. It’s disgusting we don’t live in a time where this is okay anymore this is actually a problem and with social media it’s 20x more a problem. So good job to our justice system one crime at a time right or only when it’s convenient? Its not like me to put this out there but with him deleting the evidence what else is there to be done? What needs to happen for these things to be taken seriously? What happens when that texting becomes reality? What happens if I didn’t report it and never found that information? Is that when a crime takes place? This is not to ruin anyones life it’s bringing people awareness to these types of situations and to look out for this predator and others. The people need justice and this type of behavior is very wrong. It’s disturbing and is not okay, people need to realize this is a problem. I’m hoping for him to get the proper help that he needs to function as an adult. Pushing this investigation so the proper justice is served and to let people know to watch out. The world needs stuff like this to stop, so help me push this investigation by signing this petition. The whole point of this and to stop people like this, because it’s wrong, make a change.
