Baton Twirling has a long history at Marshall High School, but the current administration is working hard to keep twirlers from competing as part of the marching band.

My daughter is a champion twirler who wants desperately to compete with her school band and we are looking for community support to help us break through the roadblocks being put in place by school staff.

While the principal and activities director stand behind the band director's arbitrary decision to exclude twirlers from competitions, we plan to appeal to the Board of Education to protect our daughter and other twirlers from this discriminatory behavior.
