Lincolnton NC is growing in population by the day. Traffic in this small town is terrible. Lincolnton also has a growing homeless population, along with worsening air quality. 

Affordable, public transportation (buses) would help ease both of these issues. Without any form of transportation, how can someone struggling with homelessness get to work? To the doctor? 

Public transportation would also aid in lessening the GHG released in town, resulting in slightly better air quality. 

Lincolnton has the TLC vans, however those vans are only available to the disabled, veterans, and individuals who meet the DSS qualifications. To be able to ride those vans, you must submit a  request 3-5 days in advance, and the stop HAS to be on the predestined route. 

That doesn't seem very convenient for anyone.  

With enough signatures, I will take this petition to the county commissioners to show them that we, the citizens of Lincolnton, want public transportation in our city.
