Hello my name is Nick Vopat . I’ve been a student In Longwood high school for my entire academic career and Ive always had a passion for music ever since i was a kid . Growing up it has always been an escape for me and helped me express emotions that sometimes could not be put into words . It was only about a year ago since I really starting Perusing it and me my friends went into it with no knowledge. We were just dumb kids with a laptop and now we are on Pace to release our first studio album. The reasoning for this petition is i feel (and many of you ) as if music production and songwriting  should be added as a course here at Longwood . Music is an outlet and in my opinion the biggest way to express creativity and spread your message to the world . I could name at least 50 kids off the top of my head who are extremely talented and don’t have the resources to reach there full potential in something they are very passionate about. With your support we can change the community and give more kids like me a chance to express themselves. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of all of you reading this . I met a teacher today who is more than qualified to teach a course like this . He is a singer/song writer well versed in production and structure who has been trying to get this up and running for many years . Thank you mr Russo for inspiring me to finally make a change .
