Jonathan was 18 when he was charged with murder. On advice from his attorney, he took a plea bargain for a life sentence. Being a high school drop out he did not understand DNA or fingerprints. What his lawyer failed to tell him was his DNA was not on the victim or at the scene. The victim's DNA was not on him. Of the 37 fingerprints at the crime scene and on the murder weapon, none matched him. The only match was to a detective on the scene. He also happened to be the victim's nephew.
