Helena as a whole is a fast growing community and school system that is creating top level student athletes. There is no reason a City of Helena Volleyball league should not be a part of that picture. Currently, developing athletes are forced to play in other cities or club volleyball leagues to learn the game and grow their skillset. It not only takes the pride of playing for your city and school out of the equation, but they are not growing with the teammates they'll likely have once they reach the middle and high school age group. Parents are committing money and time to another city's Park and Recreation general fund of which it should remain in the City of Helena. Our youth sports should encompass all sports and development of our young student athletes. 

Please sign this petition to show your interest and hopefully demonstrate one of the oversights the City of Helena has had for many years. It is long overdue that the City of Helena create a youth Volleyball league.
