Our president, Jason Smith, asked me to set up this petition for our park, and I’m in total agreement. It’s way past time our kids get treated fairly and receive everything they deserve!

Gaston deserves the same as all the big parks for our youth. Gaston has proven that they can compete sending 4 teams to state one to World Series. We hear every year that we can’t win being a small park— we have proven that isn’t true. We have begged Lexington county age and rec commission for upgrades, but I’m only one voice I need everyone’s help. Just because Gaston isn’t as big as some leagues doesn’t mean our boys and girls don’t deserve the best in our area. Gaston ball park is 40 plus years old started with just two fields, the ball park it self built the third field with is now field one. The county finally came after begging them for years and after the park had the land cleared to put a fourth field. Over the years we have watched millions be spent at other leagues all because they win more. We don’t even have fields our older kids can play at and I have been told why offer a league for kids if you don’t have a field. The reason is it keeps those kids out of trouble, and I will continue to offer it even if I have to keep begging the county to let me use other parks.
We are just asking for us to get the same as all others our community pays taxes just like the rest.
