i like msip and it served as a catch-up day for all my classes, especially since they’re getting harder.

Many students have younger siblings to take of, jobs to help provide for their families and other responsibilities. MSIP is a day where students can cool off and complete unfinished work, and take care of other responsibilities. If they take away MSIP and replace it with a day where they give more work, that will surely burn out a lot of students.

I am extremely unhappy about the new schedule change at TSS, as are most of the kids in the DSBN. The plan is to take out MSIP and switch around the days kids go to school. I do not know who was in charge of this change, but they should definitely reconsider it.

A student’s routine is very important during a stressful pandemic. It allows them to feel a sense of calmness and control over something. Disrupting this routine only causes harm to the students. Not to mention, we lost study hall, which was the one day us students had to complete our assigned work in a class-like environment without “the teachers constantly down our throats about it”...More professionally said, being able to complete assignments independently without being assigned new ones.

It is obviously clear that the students were not considered at all during this decision. This doesn’t seem like it’s “best for the students”, but rather more convenient for adults...Please do better. (I truly apologize if your intentions were good, but this is honestly outrageous!)

MSIP helps me when I have lots of work I can use msip to get caught up instead of stressing about all this homework at home

I have a hard time understanding a lot of things or to focus msip help me and so many other with it a lot of kids get overwhelmed with msip they have a better time focusing on there work. It also shows that if you take it away you don’t really care about are mental health and are future most kid will stop having motivation and have to much on there plate that can lead them to drop out if they drop out they could live on the street msip mean a lot to so much kids it helps is a lot if you guys actually care about us and not just money thinking you get paid less when a lot of kids will have a hard time that leads to drop out or more that with out the paper kids won’t have a good job that can end up a drug attic or alcohol most likely be broke on the street with no job so don’t take that from us

The amount if stress that students are under right now, taking away MSIP wouldn’t help at all. We all need this time to take a break or to catch up on things. The schools says they care about students mental heaths, but pulling something like this just won’t help. The students well being should be a main priority.

They need this time to get caught up on classes. Think about the students who have demanding home lives taking care of sibilants, working to help family etc.

Everyone I know relies on these periods to stay on top of schoolwork, especially full-time online students who face extra responsibilities and distractions. This last semester has been extremely overwhelming. There will be no increase in learning as the DSBN expects if we cannot take care of ourselves mentally. Many students have suffered tremendous drops in their mental health and experience constant burn out. This is not Okay.

I used to be part of that district. And by the gods those people need it.
