A police officer whose unmarked BMW police car struck and killed a pensioner will not face criminal charges!

80 year old Leslie Wakefield, was hit by the BMW as he crossed Warrington Road in Warrington at around 7.30pm on February 3, 2020.

The IOPC have presented the case to the CPS who have not brought charges, however, the IOPC have stated the officer should face a disciplinary hearing.

The IOPC said “We found the driver of the vehicle had a case to answer for gross misconduct relating to their manner of driving"

If the manner of his driving caused the pensioners death, then the police officer should be charged with death by dangerous driving as a minimum.

The officer would face a court with a jury who will then assess the FACTS and decide if he is guilty or not, why have the CPS refused to put a police officer before the justice system even after the IOPC has declared that the manner of his driving was the cause of a fatality.

Please sign this petition to pressure the CPS to review and bring charges.
