The Department of Transportation and New York City representatives are considering expanding Citibike service to the Riverdale section of the Bronx.

Riverdale is largely cut off from the NYC Subway system. Citibike would allow more access to the rest of the city, as well as provide additional access to quick transportation within Riverdale itself. 

The ability to use a Citibike for commuting to school, making a quick supermarket run, or taking a ride to the subway, Metro North station, or Express Bus stop would take cars off the road, improve traffic congestion, reduce C02 emissions, and improve air quality.

Additionally, it would boost local business and improve access to Van Cortland Park and Wave Hill, which would certainly add to the quality of life here in Riverdale.
