    Its widely known that the primary way APs alert us that it's time to leave is by blowing whistles. As a person with sound sensitivity, I've learned to cope with the sounds of life and have grown accustomed to calming myself down. But it never fails; every day, as I'm packing my stuff up in the commons after breakfast, the APs blast their whistles as hard as possible and send me into a panic attack. It feels like the sound is ricocheting around my brain and makes it nearly impossible to think and work myself through it rationally. I've had many other students with the same sensitivity express their frustrations and how we wish they could find a different solution to make us aware it's time to leave while also not sending us into a panic. I believe this school should be a safe space for everybody, and while I understand why they do this, I feel there's a much better solution to this problem. I plan to develop ideas of different ways for them to alert us it's time to leave while doing it peacefully. Another part of this plan is to bring them this petition to show how many of us agree that things need to change. So please sign!! Thank you!! <3
