As of May 4th, 2022, an email was sent out to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students with an announcement. Utah Valley University has decided to eliminate several positions within accessibility service and replacing the skillful staffs who have been working there for years who knew ASL and the Deaf history and background. The new change is one position and a staff who have ZERO knowledge of ASL and background of Deaf history, culture, oppressions, so forth. Knowing those important information and have the transparent communication provide the proper accessibility the current and the future Deaf and Hard of Hearing students! 

This is oppression act done toward the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community! This is not a step forward to be inclusive united community. This is a huge step backward! 

Please sign to convince Utah Valley University to realize their wrongful actions. Also, please share! The more word go out there, the more likely Utah Valley University will recognize their mistake and hopefully they will undo this awful action and bring back the proper individuals who know ASL and know the proper background needed to provide the accessibility services!
