The government, in their wisdom, removed the ability for the disabled of this country to apply for the Warm Home Discount based on the fact that they receive a disability benefit only. Instead they decided to shift the goalposts and to qualify this year you need to claim either the Guarantee Credit portion of Pension Credit which falls in CORE GROUP 1or a different 'qualifying benefit' which falls in CORE GROUP 2. The qualifying benefits are two fold being i) low income AND  ii) a means tested income. 

People on a low income and a disability benefit only are no longer eligible. Why? These people still exist and still need the help. Yet again the disabled are being overlooked. 

Yes the government has given money to people on a disability benefit to help with the cost of living but the £150 they are getting in September is essentially just a replacement of the Warm Home Discount. 

Please start to take into consideration that the disabled people missing out are some of the most vulnerable in our society and they are being ignored. Please include disability benefits as a qualifying benefit to apply.
